DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS
KASTANIA + ANDREW
VENUE: The White Orchid at Oasis
BEST EVER IS RIGHT! Ashley is attentive, professional, talented, passionate, kind and makes you feel comfortable. We knew that she would do a good job but she blew us away with how timely she finished our album (two days!) and how genuinely happy she was to capture our wedding day. She captured the joy of our wedding day, our family and friends, and I am completely in love with her work. Ash – if I could give you 10 stars I would <3

From Amanda, Wedding Planner-
The bride is half Samoan which is a Polynesian ethnic group. She wanted her wedding to be tropical without it looking cheesy, or in her words, ‘janky’.
She wanted to incorporate Samoan traditions like the Firedance, Siva dance and her traditional wedding love dance.
Kastania ordered all of the lei’s from Hawaii for the men to wear and the girls all wore the traditional flower crowns.
The florists incorporated tropical flowers, ferns and river rocks to give her a sophisticated Polynesian look to the entire wedding. She went with the open-air ‘tent’ since she wanted lots and lots of light. The paper lanterns gave everything a much more laid back look.
The most important thing to her was to make sure her heritage was incorporated into everything as well as everyone just having fun.
Every so often I get a wedding that puts me back in place. Its refocuses me and shifts all my energy in the right spots. It is SO EASY to loose track and start to focus on the portrait time you get with each couple and all the things don’t always mean the most.
On my way down to this wedding I remember telling myself to refocus. To do what I always try to do and just have fun, let this wedding guide me. When I arrived I was completely taken away. The venue, the flowers, the details- but most importantly all of the traditions and culture that Kastania included in the day.
HAHA I loved this wedding so much- I edited the entire gallery in 2 days, and today its up on the site.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful wedding, and a happier couple. I loved the fact that you brought all your heritage to the party. How fabulous. And this is the little girl I take golf lessons from? Maybe she should teach us a few dance steps and moves.
