Wedding at The Vinoy in St Petersburg | Nicole + Josh

Nicole & Josh’s wedding at The Vinoy in St Petersburg proves that, even in the age of Instagram, traditional weddings are utterly dazzling.

As a St Pete wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of weddings at The Vinoy Renaissance hotel. And yet, every time I walk through the doors of this iconic pink building in the heart of the city, I’m always so excited!

It has glittering ocean views, romantic gardens, eclectic décor… and the food?? Omg. It’s BOMB. Nicole & Josh knew what they were doing by having their wedding at The Vinoy in St. Pete!

But before the wedding reception at The Vinoy, they held their ceremony at the Lutheran Church of the Cross. And everything about it was beautiful. I especially loved the tall stained-glass windows, where I managed to capture a heart-warming bonding moment between Josh and his dad before the ceremony.

The choice to hold their ceremony at the Lutheran Church of the Cross was extra special for Nicole and Josh. A St Pete local, Nicole grew up in the LCC. She went there for school as a kid, taught vacation bible school in the summers, and even brought Josh to this church after they moved to St Pete. I always love it when couples choose venues that have sentimental meaning to them!

Now, if I had to describe the entire day in one word, it would be: timeless. They had all the classic elements of a traditional wedding. Creamy florals, ballroom reception, three-tier wedding cake, and even a vintage, white BMW to whisk them away!!
