I met Monica and Peter while visiting Canada for a wedding! Since I am not sure when I will be back in this beautiful country I wanted to shoot as much as possible. When I was shooting these cuties- Peter asked me what is it I am looking for when I am taking pictures.

It was the first time I’ve ever been asked that. Couples ask me always how did I get to weddings, what do I enjoy about weddings? Never specifically what is my thought process while I am shooting.

THOUGHT PROCESS IS- being connected, spiritually and physically. In most of my work ( my favorite work) your not looking at me because your best emotion doesn’t come through looking into my camera. I look for shapes, and lines in buildings, and colors that stand against each other. Sometimes I like sunrise light, or sunset light and sometimes I have no choice but to like the 12 o’clock light.

It was so exciting saying this out loud. I mean, I think this all the time, but it was so awesome that somebody asked. Ask yourself, and say these things out loud. It important to remember and it’s so easy to forget your WHY.
