Jennifer & Todd’s Sunken Gardens wedding was a tropical paradise.
There are few things more whimsical than a Sunken Gardens wedding like Jennifer & Todd’s.
As far as St. Pete wedding venues go, this one has to be the most unique. Not only because it’s literally a sunken garden, but also because of its backstory.
The Sunken Gardens actually started wayyy back in 1903! A plant-loving plumber named George Turner Sr. purchased a big plot of land to fill with his favorite tropical plants and fruits.
The plot of land came with a lake, which he drained and turned into the fairytale landscape we now know as the Sunken Gardens.
And now, over 100 years later, I’m lucky enough to photograph Sunken Gardens weddings, like Jennifer & Todds!
This lovely couple actually hired me to do their engagement shoot at Sunken Gardens too. So this time around, they were total pros at looking adorable in front of the camera.
I had such a difficult time narrowing down my favorite couples portraits from this wedding! They just looked SO cute, so in love, and so natural in all of the shots. And on top of that, they were surrounded by the surreal vibrant botanicals of Sunken Gardens. It was pure magic.
As a wedding photographer, I’m always on a mission to capture that *spark* between the couple. I want the chemistry, the love, the excitement, the memories, the inside jokes – I want ALL of that to shine through in the photos. And with Jennifer and Todd, my job couldn’t have been easier.
