Kimi + Jordyn’s wedding at Gaylord Palms Resort was a stunning, floral masterpiece. I am so excited to share this one with you guys!
How it all began: These two lovely humans were in each other’s orbit for many years, since they both went to the same high school.
But it wasn’t until Kimi’s senior year of high school, when Jordyn was in college, that they connected. It only took a few DMs and a Starbucks date before they were well into their fairytale love story.
Like any fairytale love story, this one had a fairytale wedding… and that’s where I come in!!
From the moment I arrived at the Gaylord Palms Resort and saw the setup, I was in awe. Lush green vines bursting with white and blush-colored flowers adorned almost every surface.
The Gaylord Palms’ signature palm trees were the perfect foundation for their garden oasis. Kimi’s dress was a white cascade of floral details that were complemented by the background… honestly a wedding photographer’s dream, LOL.
Kimi and Jordyn’s wedding was the epitome of a garden wedding done right. It was simply… *chef’s kiss*
But hear me out: the enchanting decor was not what struck me the most about their wedding – it was their answer to a question that I ask all the couples I work with.
The question is, “What advice do you have for other couples who are getting married?” Their answer was that couples should take the time to plan every little detail of the wedding together.
They explained that, even though the work can be tedious and exhausting, every little decision made together adds up to something beautiful that has been crafted by you. In their own words, “It’s your first real ‘product’ as a result of your marriage.”
If you know me, you know that I am RARELY speechless, LOL. But their answer left me at a loss for words! It is such a unique way to look at wedding planning: as your first opportunity to CREATE something together as a married couple.
Kimi and Jordyn, you two created a fab, fun, floral wonderland of a wedding.
